Carrick: Tories sacked in FalmouthSix senior Cornish conservatives have been sacked for disloyalty and have been removed from office. A disciplinary hearing was told how five members of the management of the Falmouth and Camborne Conservative Association promoted the interests of the UK Independence Party. Five of the accused were barred from holding office in the Conservative association indefinitely. The other member was found guilty of making comments that were unbecoming of a member of the association. He called the local parliamentary candidate Ashley Crossley a 'sanctimonious shit'. All six refused to work with Mr Crossley. The row started when members of the local party management team used association funds to purchase anti-EU videos. |
