Restormel: Newquay high on drugs tableNewquay’s infamous pub and club culture has been blamed for Restormel topping the latest drug seizure league table. More than half of Cornwall’s class A drug seizures are in the Restomel area according to a report commissioned by the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership. Newquay, which is in the Restormel area, has more nightclubs and late venues than any other part of Cornwall. In 2003/2004 there were 507 seizures of class A drugs in Cornwall, 276 of which were in Restormel. |
