Restormel: New urinals to prevent Newquay anti social behaviourPortable ‘pissoirs’ are to be introduced into Newquay in an effort to stop anti social behaviour in the streets at night. Toilets in Newquay are closed at night and when 9,000 revellers all flood out onto the streets at once, there is a problem of anti social behaviour; one of which is urinating on the streets. The three temporary pissoirs will be placed in strategic positions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings form 8.30pm until 7.30pm, when they will be moved. The trial, which will cost £8,000, will see how effective the siting of pissoirs is before funding permanent pop-up facilities. |
