Dydh LowenderWe are seeing more and more signs becoming bilingual in Cornwall, now is the time to become bilingual yourself! To help you get to grips with ‘Kernewek’, The Cornish Language Fellowship – Kowethas an Yeth Kernewek – is organising a Dydh Lowender. A Dydh Lowender is a fun day for all ages with the object of learning and using the Cornish Language in a relaxed way through games and song which can involve all members of the family. It is a free day of fun with a chance to meet old and new friends whilst learning or practicing Cornish. The venue is Nanpean Community Centre The date is Saturday 11th February Entry is free. Activities will run from 10 o’clock in the morning throughout the day – if you can’t make the whole day why not come for a couple of hours. Whether you have some Cornish, no Cornish or lots of Cornish this event is for one and all. Beginners are very welcome. There will be an opportunity to try your hand at pancake cooking at lunchtime – bring your favourite toppings. Tea., coffee and soft drinks provided.
