Kerrier: MINI SURVIVAL DAYS TO BE HELD AT TEHIDY COUNTRY PARKThree ‘Mini Survival Days’ are being held at Tehidy Country Park, Camborne over the coming months. Organised as one of a series of events to be held at the Park during the school holidays, children will have the chance to have a go at shelter building, completing a number of fun and exciting challenges, making fire from scratch as well as learn how to survive in the wild – Ray Mears style. The events will be held on Thursdays on 1st June, 27th July and 17th August. Sarah Byham, Community Liaison Officer who part organised the event said, ‘Tehidy Park is a great place for anyone to explore, especially children. There is an abundance of flora and fauna and the area covers 250 acres including lush woodlands which provides an excellent backdrop for these sorts of events.’ The events are free, with limited places, and open to children aged 6 – 12 years. Booking is essential by calling 01872 323 468. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children need to bring a packed lunch and suitable outdoor clothes.
