North Cornwall: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR RHODODENDRON CLEARANCE ON THE CLAY TRAILS MONDAY- JUNE 5Volunteers are needed to help clear rhododendrons on the newly constructed clay trails between 10 am and 3pm on Monday, June 5th. The event is being led by Jon Cripps, Countryside Warden for Cornwall Council, and Gareth Cann, North Cornwall District Council Ranger, who are inviting members of the public to help control this invasive plant on the trails near the Wheal Martyn Country Park and to learn more about problem plants. Volunteers can stay for the whole event, or spend as much time as they can spare. They are asked to wear sensible walking boots or shoes and bring waterproofs or sun tan lotion and to bring a packed lunch. All tools will be provided.
