Women's Football back in actionThe women's South West regional and Cornwall League's get underway this Sunday. In the South West Premier, Penzance hosts last season's runners-up, Yeovil Town, 2pm at Penlee Park. Newquay Reserves make their league debut in Division 1 South, as the Cornwall champions host Somerset league winners, Holway United, 2pm at Mount Wise. The Jaipur Cornwall League (again sponsored by the Jaipur Indian restaurant in Perranporth), sees Goonhavern and Truro make top-flight debuts. Goonhavern start at Mullion, Truro City (formerly St.Columb Minor) begin at Marazion, whilst Launceston host Bude and Dobwalls (ex-Liskeard) welcome St.Blazey. Division 2 is set to be tougher, after the regional divisions were scrapped. Saltash United against Torpoint at Kimberley Stadium brings together two of the fancied sides, whilst there are home games for Camelford, Falmouth Town, Penryn and Stoke Climsland. The new third division has a home debut for Helston Town (formerly Kerrier Terriers) against Wadebridge, Holmans host Newmoor and Roche entertain St. Breward. All the women's open-age leagues are for players 15 years of age an over on Setpember 1st 2006.
