Caradon: PROJECT AND BUSINESS PLANNING TRAINING FOR COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONSA free two day course in project planning and business plan development is open to community organisations in South East Cornwall. The workshop aims to help local community groups design and coordinate projects with confidence and is organised by Caradon District Council in partnership with the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA). Course tutor Steve Angove brings a wealth experience for participants to draw on, having been involved in supporting community groups delivering complex projects in Cornwall for a number of years. Councillor Nick Mallard, Caradon’s Local Economy portfolio holder, said: “This course is an excellent opportunity for community organisations to convert their ideas and enthusiasm into solid plans that can deliver real improvements for their communities. Last year it was fully booked, and we are delighted to be able to offer it again.” The course is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the South West Regional Development Agency and Cornwall County Council. The free workshops run from 9.30am to 3.30pm on 20 September and 18 October at the Caradon Enterprise Centre in Holman Road, Liskeard. Lunch will be provided.
