North Cornwall: North Cornwall Flood Appeal – new arrangementsThe Flood Appeal fund has now been transferred to local trustees by the Red Cross and the Red Cross telephone line for credit card donations is now closed. All donations to the fund can now be made by cash or cheque through any branch of the Nat West or posted direct to: North Cornwall Flood Appeal National Westminster Bank Albion House 24 Market Place Camelford Cornwall PL32 9PF Cheques should be made payable to “North Cornwall Flood Appeal�. People making donations at their local branch of the Nat West will need to give the Flood Appeal’s account details which are: account number 17006848 and sort code 52-10-47. The fund has now topped £132,000. Trustees have already allocated £14,000 to applicants from Boscastle and other villages affected by the recent floods. Graham Facks-Martin, the Chair of Trustees, said: “We have been overwhelmed by support and are very grateful for this. Application forms for help from the Appeal Fund have been made widely available locally. They can also be obtained direct from North Cornwall District Council which is providing administrative support.
