City council will gain 3 new Mebyon Kernow members

No election for the City council confirms that Mebyon Kernow will be well represented in Cornwall's capital city.
Nominations for members have closed for Truro's City Council and this year there will be no election. Only Twenty-three out of the twenty-four places were filled.

The composition of the new council will be:
9 Liberal Democrats
5 Independent
3 Mebyon Kernow - The Party for Cornwall
3 Labour
2 Conservatives
1 Green

Four years ago three Mebyon Kernow councillors were elected but all three have had to stand down due to health and personal reasons. The new councillors are Cliff Stephens, Conan Jenkin and Loic Rich. They will form the youngest group of councillors on the new council. The new council will take office in May this year.
