Penwith: Does your polling station get your vote?Penwith District Council is in the process of undertaking a statutory review of its polling stations and is currently carrying out a widespread consultation exercise. The Council would like to hear electors views on the suitability of the polling station they used the last time they voted in person. A list of all current polling stations can be found on the Council's website under 'Featured Articles'. All suggestions and comments will be considered by the Council's Review Panel and be taken into account when decisions on the location of polling places are made. If your wish to become involved, please consider the following points when making your submission: • How convenient to your home is the polling station? • Is the polling station easy to locate? • Do you think the building itself is suitable for use as a polling station? • Is there adequate parking? • Is there disabled access? • Once inside the building, is the voting area easily accessible? • And, most importantly, are there more suitable premises in your area that could be used? Please submit your feedback in writing to Richard Dunn, Elections Manager, Penwith District Council, Council Offices, St Clare, Penzance TR18 3QW or by email to richard.dunn@penwith.gov.uk or by completing the online feedback form at www.penwith.gov.uk (see 'Featured Articles'). All comments should reach us by 31st August 2007. |
