North Cornwall: Calf Mauled on North Cornwall FarmWhat is alleged to have been big cat has mauled a calf on a North Cornwall farm near Bude. The calf had it's hind leg ripped of and most of its stomach was pulled from it. The owners of the farm stated that there were claw marks all over the animal. The field in which it was had many pregnant cows and they were all very alarmed when the farm owner investigated the commotion they were making. It is not the first time a sighting of a large cat has been reported on the farm. About three months ago the farmers young son told his father he had seen a big black cat walking in one of the fields. When asked if it was a dog the boy remained adamant it was a cat! Has the beast of Bodmin Moor decided to to move nearer the coast or are the big cats of the area breeding and increasing in number?
