North Cornwall Council Tax RisesDistrict Councillors agreed the budget for 2008/9 at a Full Council meeting on 19th February. The council tax for North Cornwall will increase by 3.0% A Band D taxpayer will pay £158.68 a year for district council services. The breakdown of the different elements in the council tax for Band D for 2008/9 is as follows: 07/08 08/09 Increase Cornwall County Council 969.82 1017.73 4.94% Devon & Cornwall Police 131.73 142.19 7.94% North Cornwall District Council 154.06 158.68 3.0% ______ ______ 1,255.61 1318.60 5.02% Parish precepts (average) 66.01 72.87 10.39% ________ ________ Average Band D Council tax £1,321.62 £1,391.47 5.29% |
