Council supports the dualling of the A30Cornwall Council has passed a motion to support the dualling of the A30 from Carland Cross to Chiverton roundabout, in addition to the required improvement work at Temple, on Bodmin Moor. Cornwall Council's Executive Member for Strategic Planning and Transport Matt McTaggart said “I am happy to support the call for dualling at both locations of the A30 as it is an arterial link into Cornwall and will assist industry and the economy of Cornwall”. These works were promised to be carried out, following completion of the Goss Moor improvements, by the Highways Agency, at a public meeting held at Redruth a few years ago. The Council has requested that the four Political Group Leaders send a jointly signed letter to the Prime Minister, as a matter of urgency, asking for the required funding to be reinstated so that the work, at both locations, can proceed without further delay. |
