North Cornwall: FAMOUS WATERFALL ALMOST INACCESSIBLEThe world famous waterfall at St.Nectans Glen between Boscastle and Tintagel is almost inaccessible following the horrendous flooding in the area oÂn Monday.A torrent of water 3 meters high swept down the river past the Hermitage where St.Nectan lived and thundered over the waterfall and down into St Nectans Glen. North Cornwall: Special Mass for all affected by North Cornwall FloodsA special Mass was celebrated in Tintagel, the day after torrential rain wreaked havoc throughout the area served by the church.  The Catholic Church in Tintagel serves the north Cornwall area from Crackington Haven in the north to Davidstow and camelford in the east and Port Isaac to the south.   The entire area was lashed by rain for up to 4 hours yesterday. North Cornwall: Boscastle: 15 people feared missing after flash floodsFifteen people are still unaccounted for after flash floods surged through a small fishing village. Buildings and cars were washed into the sea as wall of water poured down through Boscastle, in Cornwall. Today rescuers are sifting through mountains of debris from wrecked buildings and vehicles to check for casualties, after reports that 15 people may still be missing. North Cornwall: MAN COLLAPSES AND DIES AFTER MEMORIALThe annual Mass for all babies who died from conception to 3 years old was celebrated oÂn the 14th August at 1800hrs. The Mass was celebrated at the Catholic Church of St.Paul the Apostle in Tintagel Cornwall.The Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady into heaven was especially chosen to show where we believe that all our babies have gone.We pray that Mary the Mother of God will watch over our beloved babies. North Cornwall: Memorial prayers in Cornish for lost babiesSpecial prayers will be said in the Cornish Language at a Memorial Service to be held in Tintagel next Saturday.    Myke & Miriam Rosenthal-English,a couple from Delabole have arranged a special Mass for all babies who have died from conception to 3 years old.The Mass is also celebrated to remember all the grieving parents. |
