REGIONAL SPATIAL STRATEGY IS OUT FOR CONSULTATION


The draft Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) for the ‘South West,’ which has been produced by the unelected South West Regional Assembly, is now out for public consultation until 30th August.
This document will dictate planning policy in Cornwall and states that 45,000 houses will be built in Cornwall over the next 20 years. It also sets out policy on a range of issues including economic development, environment, housing, transport and waste management.

Boats Be Wise


Cornwall Wildlife Trust is urging boat owners and jet-skiers to take particular care when encountering dolphins and other marine life at sea. This comes after a distressed member of the public reported dolphins being harassed by boats in Mounts Bay on Friday (16 June). The person claimed that at least two or three boats near St Michaels Mount were approaching the dolphins at speed and getting very close to them, within three metres of them.
