This water pump on Point village green actually works - when I come across an old village pump, I always try it and they hardly ever work nowadays but this one does!

Technical

The majority of recent photographs on the Cornwall CAM web site are taken with Nikon Coolpix 990 and 8800 digital cameras, at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 or 3264 x 2448 in 24-bit colour. Recent photos may be taken with a Sony a300 DSLR with 18-70 mm lens.  The photos are then reduced in resolution and in file size by JPEG compression for publishing on the Web.  On some days, photographs are taken on a Sony Ericsson K800i mobile phone camera at a resolution of 2000 x 1500 pixels.   The camera used is usually stated at the top of the Home, Recently, Earlier and Even Earlier pages.  Photographs on the "Archive" pages taken from 7 July 2000 to 19 December 2004 were all taken with a Nikon Coolpix 990.  Photographs on the "Archive" pages taken before 7 July 2000 were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 900s.  If you wish to copy any of the photographs for non-commercial purposes, please do so, but please credit Charles Winpenny as the photographer, or if they are for use on your Web site, please add a link to this site.

These pages were designed to be viewed with Internet Explorer 6 and display resolution of 1024 x 768 or greater and 32-bit colour, preferably on a Broadband internet connection.   If there are any problems when viewing the pages using other Web browsers, please let me know.
