Council Reaffirms Its Support for John Watkinson|

Penwith District Council today reaffirmed its support for suspended RCHT Chief Executive, John Watkinson. Mr Watkinson was suspended pending an "Independent Review" of Management and Governors at Royal Cornwall Hospital's NHS Trust. The Review, which will be carried out by four senior professionals from outside Cornwall, will be completed by no later than 28 November 2008. . . .

Penwith Council today joined local health campaigners in slamming the treatment of John Watkinson, Chief Executive of Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust (RCHT). The Council understands that Mr Watkinson has been placed on "gardening leave" and could be suspended on Wednesday at a meeting of Non-Executive Directors of RCHT. . . .
