''Back on topic … yes I am going … I’m the one in blue!

I have travelled around the world from Australia and will be at my first open Gorsedh meeting, after being ‘made’ a Bard in 1988 at Poldhu for services to the Cornish in Australia.

There should be 6 of us from Australia and we are very much looking forward to being involved and meeting old friends and making new acquaintances.''

-  Excellent.

The Bards from around the world have a commitment to Cornwall that is invaluable, and the work they do in maintaining the international nature of all Cornish aspects is so important  to us.

Hope you have a great time while you're over here.

Is he really buggering in Cornish? I'm not sure that this is quite nice. Can we have a translation. please?

Anselm, you wouldn't need a translation if you'd only get yourself along to a Cornish class and learn the language.  Or if you can't face Truru college on a wet evening you could do a correspondence course.  Details of all courses here:

http://www.magakernow.org.uk/i…..leid=38583

As it is, you don't know what you're missing.

You'll have to get to one of those classes – then you can read the rest of the story for yourself.

Yes Anselm, you'd better get yourself to a class, schnell schnell, or else pietercharles will drag you there by your ears, how dare you ask for a translation, or even show any kind of interest in the language without actually learning it first, after all you will not be in a position to make any kind of comment on the language until you are at least Grade 4 CLB certified with 20 years of fluency behind you, taught the language for at least a decade and have written and published enough books to fill at least one shelf.

And Pieter wonders why the KK hardcore are described as authoritarian.

Oh dear.  I wonder if Anselm got the joke, or whether he has a sense of humour like yours.  What can I say?

I do need to say one thing, though.

No I don't.  You've got the wrong person.  Again.

It really would help your case if, when attacking me, you'd concentrate on, and be accurate about, what I write.

Rather than attacking me for what you imagine I've written, or for what you wish I'd written, or for what somebody else has written.

I'll let the readers of C24 judge for themselves.

Did we all imagine that Pieter wrote something, then?  Remiss of us.

The Gorseth can breathe a sigh of relief.  I won't be there.  Have ten horses on two different sites to tend to, due to holidays.  AND Saturday looks as though it might be decent (the Gorseth always gets away with the weather!), and I'd far rather be riding the moors, which are rather better, scenically and in just about every other way, than Saltash!  (hardly the most inspiring venue).
