I've just scanned through it on sky+… seemed like a wast of time, bar a couple of brief points near the end e.g. the duke's income.

Well,,,,,Question Time from Newquay,,,,,Let me say that Cornwall definitely was not on the agenda for any discussions debates,,,,,in the rehearsal before going live, which consisted of the floor manager as the chair, and members of the audience being the panel, we had a good discussion, some of which was about cornwall, and a few people pointed out that we were told in no uncertain terms that we were to ask questions on NATIONAL ISSUES ONLY and not local ones,,,,,I must say that David Dimbleby seemed quite puzzled by that??

Quite a few people mostly English did ask me why Dick Cole or anyone from MK was not on the panel whilst there was  someone Leanne Wood from Plaid Cymru,,,,,one or two didn't even know what the name of the party for Cornwall was,,  (MK) i have to say there was as I expected alot of shall we say non Cornish in the Audience who not surprisingly got to ask the main questions????  although I did get a say near the end of the show, in the Iran debate.

All in all I think that Cornwall and its people were again discriminated against by the BBC in regards to this show,,,I made it know that I believed that there should be a part in every show wherever its broadcast from  to debate local Issues,,,,,,because otherwise if we can only debate National Issues, then whats the point of moving the show around the country????? just another way of wasting TV Licence payers money!!

The Buzz word now is TRANSPARACY

I did say this would happen. My relative, many years ago, attempted to raise a question about Charles Windsor and the Duchy during a Question Time and was silenced/edited out. He then went on to raise a point about Cornish aspirations in respect of self governance and was silenced/edited out. The BBC is an arm of state even though the word might be transparency, they are very opaque indeed. The management of the BBC have their snouts in the trough as much as the Westminster politicians and all depend on our tax pounds. It would take someone of courage to stand up and challenge the status quo by refusing to pay their taxes and licence fee (which is, after all, a tax by another name). They are often prepared to do it in Wales where activists have served time in prison for their principles but this is not the case in Cornwall, perhaps sadly.

There's a few posts on Twitter commenting on the QT audience as either racist, inbred, narrow-minded or yokels.

https://twitter.com/#search?q=%23bbcqt

I wonder if the sight of this forum would mean an increase or decrease in those kind of comments.

Which panellist best represented your views?

For me Leanne Wood of Plaid Cymru was head and shoulders above the rest. Whereas Ms. Goldsworthy demonstrated her defence and deference to privilege that her Truro high school education embued in her.

If you're a republican and live in Cornwall clearly the LDs are not the party to support!

It was also good to see Pedyr Pryor get the loudest cheer of the evening – time you came back to MK pedyr Wink

Yes, the BBC managed this so that there would no mention of Charles Windsor until the very end – when they could immediately call "time".

Agreed re Leanne Wood being the best there including the Republican views. Well said !

Not many good Cornish accents in the audience but the ones that were I agreed with and also with the fellow from Scotland - Angus – and the points he raised.

The trouble is with Question Time is that Cabinet Ministers are never available to justify themselves and there are the usual band of right wing commentators to basically complement a bunch of useless right wing politicians.

Yes because accent is always the highest indicator of Cornishness. Confused

Ha, that video should have ended just as Dimbleby said "we're out of time"
