Well, I was concerned when I saw that this TV station is closely allied to Eden and Jamie bloody Oliver – and then heard the voiceover which was far from Cornish, even using south-east vowels.
Are the Cornish people to be represented by anybody?

Please give it some time.
The content on there at the moment is more of a pilot than 100% representation of what's to come.
You all know me as a nationalist and the words 'county', 'south west', 'English' and 'England' grated on me aswel.
Rest assured that mc.tv does contain a fair few nationalists and hopefully those words will be changed soon.

Keep working hard Things. Don't let the nay sayers get you down. As much as they may be good nationalists they are also adept at self-isolation and ensuring that projects in the Duchy fail to have ANY Cornish input.
Working for Cornwall means working with plenty of people who don't share your POV.

OK, Things – then you and the others, being on the inside, are best placed to ensure that such words are permanently eradicated, and that Cornish voices predominate. However, Fulup's point is worth heeding – having worked in local government in Cornwall for 24 years (1974-98) I know the truth of what he's said only too well. Forewarned, though, is forearmed.

To be honest Marhak what I wanted to say was that Things shouldn't pay too much attention to people on this site who instantly attack a project if the "E" or "C" words are used. Cornwall isn't an English County for me but for countless others in the Duchy who all have their hearts in the right place, and who want to improve conditions here, it is.
Cornish nationalists who storm off in a huff because someone, who doesn't benefit from their insight and level of education, uses the words 'English' or 'county' is simply undermining the cause.
Do we want to be isolated in small self righteous yet ultimately futile cliques where we change nothing or should we engage with projects like MyCornwallTV, swallow our pride a little, and try to ensure some Cornish content?
I don't have a definitive answer to that or of where to draw the line. I guess it's for each person to decide.

STOP THE CORNISH GENOCIDE!
The existence of divergent views occur because the lies and deception have a more profoundly negative, and contrived, consequence for the Cornish people than for anyone else within the UK.

It was great to talk about our Cornish legend Bob. Would he of claimed himself to be Cornish or English.
Thank you for some interesting yet perhaps fanatical comments.

hi Sam
I have to say I enjoyed what I saw – as a Cornish nationalist I wouldn't have referred to Bob as English as I would have been stressing his Cornish origin. Having said that, at the time when 'England' ruled the world most commentators would have referred to him as English (or at best from the colonies) and he may well have said the same. The cornish claim is great but as someone has pointed out he also had irish ancestory and bizarrely Wayne Rooney is related to him.
Bob should be recognised as a great Cornish fighting icon but he was hardly quintessentially Cornish. Needless to say the Cornish accepted him as one of their own so on that basis Cornish is a better descriptor than English in today's world.
Good luck with the surfing and the boxing
