Hi,
I am driving to Falmouth on Saturday morning, via Torquay and Plymouth.
Could any of you Kernow dwellers advise me? My question is should I risk linking up onto the A30 or go via St Austell? Last time I used A30 going to St Ives (a couple of months ago) it was a nightmare, have things improved? Your advice would be useful. Many thanks

Hi Miffy,
On Saturday I would go Plymouth - St Austell - Truro - Falmouth. Road is not fast, but less traffic I would think.

Miffy,

Have you thought about getting an early start so that you reach the Duchy before, say, 9 am, then the A30 should still be moving?

Sounds very sensible, I know you are right.....cant see me being that organised.
If you see a pig flying on sat am you will know that I made it before 9.00am.
If only I had a boat I could sail down and miss all the traffic, I wonder how long it would take from Bournemouth? icon_lol

Now that would be sensible!

Nice day, but with a light to moderate southwesterly it would be a hard pull. icon_smile
