I appreciate that the Relubbus Roundup is a vehicle for humour, but I must say that I was quite moved by this poem and will happily commend it now to others. If you are Cornish - go take a look!

My reaction was exactly the same as yours -- plus slight embarrassment that I was moved by a piece that was probably written with a humorous (or even, dare one say, satiric) intent. It's a dialect poem that seems to me to stand in its own right, whatever the writer's intentions may have been...

I agree with Horton! I've just started a thread on This is Cornwall about beautiful places in our lovely land and 'Odgo hits the nail on the head with this poem. It is a jewel of a dialect poem, glorifying our land, set in a background of farce and satire.
