At a high profile Art Show held in Albequerque, New Mexico, USA, funds were raised for republican prisoners from the Irish Republic by Celtic Irish sympathisers in the USA of which there are tens of thousands. They also hold some considerable sway over US policy towards Ireland and many influential Irishmen are Congressmen and Senators.

Many US politicians were present at this art show.

One such is a friend of mine and sent me a photograph which highlights John Angarrack's book on Kernow 'Our Future is History' and also the Tony Leamon case. Tony, a Cornish Celtic Activist from Falmouth was the subject of armed police raids some seven months ago and again answers police bail this coming Wednesday 26th. March, 2008 for either charges to be brought against him or his freedom. Whatever, I and many, many others know that he is an innocent man whatever trumped up evidence there is and he has been in my prayers and thoughts daily for the past seven months.

He now has a world wide following of people interested in his welfare at the hands of the police in Kernow and although the situation is barely known in Kernow, those outside from as far afield as Australia, India and the USA will be watching the actions of the Colonial Police in their dealing with him. Tony has also received substantial support from Kernow's Gay Community although he is straight. Many Gay people in Kernow feel that they have been ill treated by the police in the Duchy and there is much empathy between the two movements.

MP Julia Goldsworthy has been in touch with Tony Leamon and the Chief Constable of Kernow whose headquarters is in Exeter, England and activist Peter Tatchell has been briefed on the situation in Kernow follow an expression of interest.

One person, whose identity I do not wish to reveal at this stage, is offering to undergo a complete public head shaving followed by a public lashing in Cathedral Square, Truro, to highlight the police abuse of Tony Leamon, who is a pacifist as well as what is happening to people who are LGBT. This action may well follow this coming Summer depending upon what actions the Colonial Police take.

Please include Tony Leamon and others who suffer in your prayers and/or thoughts this Easter tide.

Sincerely

Mike Chappell

I hear the colonial police are setting up an internment camp on the Isles of Scilly, hey but God is on your side, so say a little prayer today.

I was serious, what makes you think I was joking, maybe you should take some tips from the Tibetans on how to deal with nasty colonial types.

Ignore him Mike, he's just a long standing Troll... Doesn't know when to shut up. He annoys everyone on here.

If somebody is the target for bullying or ill-treatment, it's better if the facts about them and their situation are disseminated as widely as possible. This can inhibit the perpatrators, and can also provide a certain defence for the person targetted.

Tony Leamon appears to be experiencing victimisation by the Police and I hope that his M.P. who is taking up the matter with the Police, will receive some answers and hopefully there might be a question or two raised in Westminster.
This disturbing report concerns all who care about Justice, regardless of where we live.
I hope that people reading the reports of Tony Leamon's treatment will study this, because anyone who stands up for what they believe in is liable to receive similar treatment.
