Well here is a bit of good news after recent events. You can actually buy blocks of just one nation ie blocks of stamps with the Cornish flag on, but can you use these Manx in the UK?

Isle of Man Post is issuing a set of stamps which will celebrates the links between the Isle of Man and other Celtic nations.

The eight stamps feature National flags of Mann, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, Ireland, Asturies and Galicia.

Sets of stamps can be ordered now with the date of release of May 12th and there will a special 'Interceltique' Sheetlet and set of 8 Postcards produced in August this year to coincide with the 2008 Lorient Interceltique Festival in Brittany. Isle of Man will be cooperating with Manx cultural groups to ensure a presence in Lorient to market the stamp issue.

A text accompanying the stamps sets has been written by Dr Brian Stowell a prominent figure in both the Celtic Congress and Celtic League who is well known for his regular contribution to the Manx language section in each issue of Carn.

Illustrations of the stamp issue and details of how to order can be found at the Isle of Man Post site at: http://www.gov.im/post/stamps/FutureIssue.aspx?categoryid=164

I can just see the Post Office issuing similar stamps. Well, actually, no I can't. Good on you, Enys Manow!

Is that stamp in the SWF? Look's a bit mad with "a" for "his" and a hyphunated verb

Ah yes. It should read: Den heb tavas a gollas y dyr. Never mind - at least they tried. I can forgive them one wrong letter and a hyphen.

The Cornish stamps can be bought in blocks of ten. They can only be used from the I. of Man.....any evidence of using them successfully in Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, N. Ireland or England?

Yep.

They've got the Queen's head on them so can be used anywhere. My P.O. checked this out for me and the I.O.M. sales office told me it would be fine. I posted a letter off to myself and it came back safe and sound. Since then I've used these Kernow stamps all the time and they're just great.

The numbers are the value.

With the Cornish stamps this is 20p so you need a top up of either 7p or 16p.
