Let's make this a thread for the rugger nutters on the site.

Powergen Cup round 4

Coventry 31 - 20 Penzance & Newlyn

Although we fought back and could have won it in the last 5 minutes of injury time when the score was 24 -20, Coventry just proved they were too strong and the better team on the day.

National League Division 3 South

Redruth 23 - 3 Tabard

A great win for 'druth and they continiue to chase for their long overdue promotion.

Skinners Brewery Cornwall Cup round 1

Hayle 5 - 36 St.Ives

A thrashing for St.Ives against fellow Penwithians Hayle Tigers who aren't having a very good season over all.

How does the Powergen Cup work? I thought it was a knockout competition.
Although The Pirates are doing better than last season, they still appear to lose most of their away games and always win at home - sometimes losing away to lesser teams and beating higher ranking teams at home.

The top four places in National 1 occupied by southwest sides; not bad going, although ideally I'd have the Pirates' & Bristol's postions reversed icon_biggrin
