Stroppgob quote: "What a wonderful example of selective editting, and recontextualisation. Just the sort of devious, underhand, and unsavoury behaviour that goes on here, but is of course tollerated, as the poster is "one of us."
Rather typical".
So calling the moderator a 'Lying Scumbucket' isn't just as unsavory eh?
Your posts-more often than not-had an attitude that got up peoples' noses and when Chris came back at you the only thing that you could resort to was name calling.
No, it was particularly unsavoury, and if I had not been banned I would have apologised for calling him a "scumbucket." I did so on the "interview" that was done with me on "ThisisnotCornwall", and take the opportunity to do so again.
I appologise unreservedly for calling you a scumbucket Chris, it was unfair and over the top, mea culpa.
In the same way I've worked out that the grossest lies and stupidities can be posted here, as in DwyGenes abhorrent distortion of my post on the BBC site, without challenge, as long as they come from a "pro-Cornwallianwhoagreeswithus", poster, fair enough.
Obviously you need education, not strength.
Recontextualisation, or sometimes re-contextualisation, is a well described phenomena, where an experience or belief is taken out of its existing context and put into an alien one, thus corrupting its meaning or changing its relevance.
We see that here often, with the much maligned, but still re-elected, Doris Ansari's alleged quote "Cornish culture is dangerous," where not one of her detracters has the common decency to link to it, so that we can see it in context, or to put it in any other perspective other than "she said it."
But that, as we all know, is rather typical of this place.
