I don't want to give them links to lengthy intelectual disputes as it's not that kind of forum but I don't want them just to take my word for it either.

The Lib Dems Cornwall manifesto for 2005 elections was clear. One heading in the document declared â€œItâ€™s time for a Cornish Assembly!â€ But they seem to be dragging their feet on this issue. I would rather pay my taxes to a Cornish treasury that would be used for the people of Cornwall. Untill we all get off our butts and lobby our various councillors and MP's I can't see anything happening in the near future. :x

A clarifiaction of the difference between the words state, country, nation and citizenship is also worthwhile but often pointless when faced with "you're English so shut up".

So you accept that we are a nation, even if a stateless one?

The national carries regard Cornwall as just another county of England, if they thought we were any different we would pay higher charges.
