Hi
We have been holidaying in Cornwall for many years now but this year will be the first time with out 8 month old Labrador. We are staying at Watergate Bay Touring Park and were just wondering where we are allowed to take the dog - beaches, pubs etc...
Thanks
Nicki

Happily, dogs are not allowed on beaches. Pubs, I think are at the landlord's discretion.

Here is a guide to all Cornish beaches.

If you click on the beach you are interested in, it will tell you the restrictions you can expect in regards to dogs.

It would appear that Watergate Bay beach allows dogs all year.

As for dogs in pubs?

Here is a good site.

Or this one? Just put in your search parametres.

The Cornubia in Hayle does too.

Both a bit of a treck from Newquay though!

Dogs in pubs is something I wish would occur here. Unfortunately that will never happen due to our health requirements that ensure animals are kept at a minimum of 10 metres away from people in a designated eating and drinking area.

*sigh*

The best place for a dog is in a pasty, not a pub.

Ha,Ha.... go to "The Dock Inn" one evening and announce that loudly in the bar....you'll propbably get a more 'lively' debate than you're used to in here..... icon_lol

Please stay off Longrock beach on the third week of September as there's a beach litter survey and while I'm sure your pooch is a beauty the less weighing and sorting of doggy doos (so polite and refined in my choice of words aren't I?) the better.

(Note: the same activity ie beach clean will be taking place on different beaches all over Cornwall and UK)
