Its going through the usual planning process, you can put in all the legitimate concerns you have, but don't go making up fairy tales they will be laughed at! SWRDA have put together independent (as independent as can be as they are paying for it) which as put forward a worst case scenario and an estimate of the likely scenario, if you have any other reasons for it to be diferrent, then you'd better ask a marine hydrologist if they agree with you and if they will support you and give you a similar report as SWRDA have done.

The reason the Exeter University model is worst case is because they have assumed the Wave Hub will take out 100% of the energy in a 10kM^2 area, because until it is known how effective the individual devices will be, anything else would be a pure guess. My guesstimate is that the energy being taken out of the sea over the the 10km^2 area will be less than 20%. Which means I would estimate the effect at shore to be less than 1%.

But hey there is only one way to find out, lets have a trial scheme, oops sorry thats exactly what it is!

Howdy - I noticed there's a public science debate on this tonight at the Poly (used to be Falmouth Arts Centre) - I remembered this thread, and thought I'd mention it in case it's of interest.

Apparently there will be people there putting the science case for & against, so it's a chance to go and make yur mind up!

(Or, if you've already done that, have a jolly good argument about it... Not that anyone on this board would be up for that...)

The webmaster of our site is now the environmental chair for the BSA so we should have a full low down on www.A1Surf.com soon after it's over. Will post it on here as well once i get chance.
