People, this Guest is probably one of the morons who destroyed this site with their rubbish postings and childish behaviour a few months ago. My suggetion is ignore them, carry on as if their postings don't exist. We must not let these pathetic creatures ruin this site again.

Unregistered User Greetings – My name is Kevin Sinclair and I am a journalist in Hong Kong. My grandfather was Samuel Hocking born 10 August 1889 in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. He served on the Western Front with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force throughout World War 1.
His grandfather was Edward Hocking, who died 3rd February 1900 at Chyandour (a northern suburb of Penzance) in the Parsh of Madron.
I am going to be in Britain late June-early July and my wife and I will be driving down to Penzanze. I’ve never been there. I wold very much like to meet any of the Hockings who live in the area as we are no doubt distant relatives.
I would be grateful if any of them could contact me at kevsin@pacific.net.hk
You can check my bona fides as a reporter and author easily; just go to google or any other search engine and click on “Kevin Sinclair hong kong.
Regards and I look forward to seeing you
Kevin Sinclair

Unregistered User Hi Kevin, I assume that's late June / early July next year or we've missed your visit. If you don't get a response here you might want to try the Cornwall newspapers (if not already done so).
