The thing on the Plen (piazza) sounds ok, why not....
Also the main project sounds like an ok idea, but im not sure a bout this snowflex material??? Ive been skiing many times, and i know artificial slopes are such a bad approximation of skiing. Why could they not build a big snow dome??? The landscape would be perfect!
However, my real concern is it will be total sterile of all things Cornish, such as EDEN! There will be some plaque saying it was build in an abandoned China clay quarry, and thats it... We should petition them to include Cornish Literature, Cornish Signs, Cornish Produce.... Perhaps even fly St.Pirans at the gate! I know its a long shot, but how bout it?
Im all for Cornish Friendly and sympathetic developments.
Is the proposed permanent site the same company that proposed it originally for Kestle Mill/Quintrel Downs and have now relocated to what looks like a clay works?
I think Hen... If you go to "snow parks" in France / Croatia (called mountains :P ) or where-ever you'll find they have lots of shops and bars/cafes close buy.
Would you like to see this snow park set up in cornwall, have all its bars and shops selling wares that are from England? So all the money we spend there goes to people outside Cornwall?
As for the signage and flag, Would you not want any new development be proud to be based in Cornwall, and give a nod to Cornwalls cultural distictivness?
Im not saying its got to be an Icon of Cornish Nationalist Pride, but what would be wrong with a bit of dual language use?
Yes, of course it does. As Cornish People, we must activly support Cornish Culture, Language and Prosperity. As they say 'Charity begins at Home' and when in Cornwall we should support Cornish Buisness. Our Local Economy needs every boost it can get. More successful Cornish based Buisness is good for Cornwall.
I ask Hen why should we support any venture from outside of Cornwall when they don't give a Monkeys about us ??
i think its good for cornwall about time! - i'll be able to surf in the morning and board in the evening!
Think what there is to do in cornwall, go to art galleries, eat in restaurants you can't afford, look at plants? Yawn..
