There's never been an English tick box on a census form. There's been "White British", as if skin colour is an ethnicity
But there will be an English and Welsh one on the 2011 census (but at present it looks like the Cornish are not included.. again)

First, Hunlef, you can take you criticism and stick it up your @ss, you self important annoying little man!
Second, I am in regular contact with Dr Hicks and he knows how much I support him.
Third, the letter is a great piece of work and I was just making suggestions that people can feel free to ignore. If it had still been possible then a quick re-read to iron out the spelling errors would not have hurt anyone.
Fourth, yes I have written a letter, the latest in a long list of others, but it is nowhere near as good as that of Dr Hicks.
Lastly, if you are not happy with the MK's profile then join the party and get out there and do the footwork needed to raise their profile.

There was nothing self important about what I said - I merely made a significant point that you forgot to emphasise and that was that Dr Hicks' letter was extremely good. I note that you do accept this point subsequently. However, it would have been much more appropriate for you to have emphasised the importance of such a contribution than to have nit-picked in the way that you did by criticising a spelling mistake that any intelligent person is capable of committing. In fact, the one that you managed to find was a mistake that a spell-checker would not have picked up anyway! One or two spelling mistakes, in a document stretching to several thousand words, is hardly newsworthy, surely? In fact, the government's own draft UK Compliance Report contained several such errors and nobody pointed them out on this site! Yet, Dr Hicks comes in for special attention!
I note that your own spell-checker is not so good as the one Dr Hicks uses!
I made no reference to myself anywhere in those statements.
BTW, I am not a man!

I'm glad to hear it!

I'm relieved to hear that too.
Let's draw a line in the sand regarding this issue and support those people making a stand for Cornwall by not criticising uncommon, relatively minor spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, a practice that only serves to undermine their work and status and deflects attention away from the crucial issues. We don't have that many people who are willing to stand up and put their names and careers on the block for Cornwall, so let's not discourage those who do by directing petty criticisms at them.
If you know the man personally, and you feel these things are important, why did you not contact him privately as soon as you read his letter, rather than doing it in public on this forum?
That having been said, Fulub, I know that you too, are a tireless worker for Cornwall and your efforts seem endless. Despite that, I am disinclined to take your advice to stick my criticism up my "@ss", since I strongly feel that my point was an important one. Let us all learn a lesson from this, we are ALL on the same side, so before we commit to paper, or to a public forum such as this, please think first about the implications of our statements on others who are simply doing their utmost to help in extremely difficult conditions.

What hypocritical tosh form the self appointed commissar of Cornish nationalist opinion.
Yes we are all on the same side so stop coming across as an obsessive bullying little creep because you are doing the Cornish movement a disservice.
"All on the same side" says he who leaves no opportunity untaken to put down MK and the assembly campaign.
It wasn't petty criticism it was constructive comment and to be frank if my comments "discouraged" Dr Hicks, which i somehow doubt, then he is in the wrong place.
