Cornish accent

I was wondering if any body could help me with a pronunciation in a Cornish accent. I am researching the origins of the family name Perrin and need to know if there is a correlation between Perrin and Piran/Perran when pronunced in a Cornish accent.

Cheers.

I know some Perrins from Porthleven and one, a Milo Perrin, runs a good Cornish produce shop called Just Cornish at St Just - you should ask him. He speaks Cornish as well. www.justcornish.com

I didn't realise he was Cornish, I always call into the shop when I'm home. I lived 2 doors from the shop for 26 yrs, and my brother was born there. the street is so quiet these days, it was full of shops when I was a child. Just Cornish is a great asset to the street.

Acrobatic Tinman, not a name I've come across on any Cornish board.
With a name like that, he sounds like a puppet...

NewZealand has its own accent, but Southland which is at the very bottom of New Zealand, was settled by scots, and cornishmen. The Southland accent is diffent from other parts of newZealand because southlander pronounce the 'R's so is quite broad.

The influence of Scots in Dunedin means Dunedin is now 'more Scottish' than Scotland. But southland ,which is further south is where teh Southland acent which is probably influenced by Cornish who settled in te area.
I welcome other comment
