I'm part "devonian" and the way I see it is that parts if not all of devon were once part of Kernow and spoke Cornish and many of those who took part had more to do with Kernow (ie tin mining, dialect etc.) than with english devon.

The St Piran's play is growing in popularity we hope to be there giving stuff out from our mobile office this year.

March 5th is on the Monday, presumably the play on the dunes at Perranporth will be on the 4th?? When will the Truro march be this year?

"Music ones - all local talent, naturally, always pull in the crowds and easily get the breweries interested in that too

Also ones celebrating Cornwall as a whole - its scenery, culture, history and it's food!!! for a more family friendly variety."

We have the K fest in Newquay

Also the fish festivals are popular in Cornwall

And Lowenda Perran http://www.an-d.../origins.htm

And there's more that I can't think of right now icon_biggrin

All good stuff I'm sure, but what I was driving at was a kind of 'chain' of festivals - all with the same name and underlying theme but being area specific as well - set up a brand name to be linked with the Cornish movement

Such things could also set up friendly local rivalry which is further free publicity; for instance a 'battle of the bands' or a 'pastie-off' or whatever.

Make people's own experience of Cornwall link with the overall status of the Duchy, make it fun and people will raise their awareness without even knowing they are doing it. icon_biggrin
