Having left C24 once before due to the degree of unpleasantness which stroppygob and then cledry_maid were subjected to, and now being subjected to it myself, I've decided to leave C24 for good.
This used to be a place where people could come for lively conversations about Cornwall, and although I rarely agreed with stroppygob, he brought a liveliness and expression of alternative views which no longer seems to be acceptable on C24.
C24 has been hijacked by a few arrogant people who clearly believe that their views are the only ones which can be tolerated here, and anyone else must be hounded until they leave. Well folks, I'm saving you a lot of typing, and keeping my blood pressure down and getting out now. No doubt there will be a patting of backs and celebratory posting from some quarters, but I won't be back to read it so save your fingers.
I'd second that, as I said in another post quite a few members have been subjected to pathetic ranting of a couple people on here, just laugh them off that’s what I do, don’t let the bas*ards grind you down.
Have to agree with you Lyskerrys which is why I rarely bother posting here much anymore although I do read the posts regularly.
It's certainly no fun taking part in a forum where your sincerely held views are held in contempt and ridiculed by certain self appointed posters who won't tolerate any view but their own hard line stance.
Thank goodness the leader of MK is not like them or else he would alienate those of us who want to see Cornwall prosper but prefer to go about it in a moderate way.
Unlike you I am not a political animal and do not venture on any other forums of the nature of this one. I am a sports buff and tend to go on rugby forums like Cornish Pirates, TASC, BBC Sport Scrum V and the like. Each to his own is my motto but I will go and have a look at the forum you mention and if I feel sufficiently aroused I will say my piece.
I think if you get into the political arguments you must expect to take some flack. If you are of the nature that you cannot be criticised, you are better to leave the forum or talk about pasties. The trick is to back off in an argument before you dig a pit for yourself.
We've had our fair share of bloody nuisances on here, usually anti-Cornish types, so anybody who wobbles tends to catch it before things get out of hand eg that drunken guy d-e-m this week.
Seeing as the same low lifes, i am sure You know who i mean, move from this board to that i think its relevent. Its all about perspective stro... i mean Hen.
