Pertemps Bees 24 - 36 Cornish Pirates

The Pirates keeping up their winning streak to stay up there in 3rd place, looking very good so far.

Will The Pirates beat the Harlequins, this is the raging question?

Will we ever get to number two inm the league?

By the way, to move up into the premiership, what place do you have to get in the league?

It's more than just finishing 1st in the league, there is a whole raft of eligibility criteria which the Cornish Pirates do not yet meet, the stadium being the biggest one.

Looking at the Quins web site I see they think they are on course for recording their biggest crowd ever for the match against Pirates at the Stoop and look set to break the record for a National Division One league fixture. The current record stands at 10,349, set by Bristol when they played the Exeter Chiefs at the Memorial Stadium earlier this year (27th March 2005).

Quins website reports that due to the high demand for tickets, NEC Harlequins will be opening the South Stand at the Twickenham Stoop for their National Division One game against the Cornish Pirates on Sunday 20th November, kick-off 3.00pm.

Don't know yet what happened in the last 20 minutes of play where most of the Quins points were scored, but certainly a big disappointment to Pirates supporters and no doubt many Cornish generally (even some Mounts Bay supporters although reluctant to admit it no doubt). With a 10,843 attendance figure it certainly broke the record for a National Division One league fixture crowd.

Personally speaking, deep down there was probably more hope than expectation in regard to Pirates winning this match, but good experience for the team of what can be expected when playing at premiership level. I can see "the club" having to fork out a bit more cash for a few more players with experience of competing (and winning) at that higher level.

It would appear that "what happened was" (where've I heard that before?) Albion scored more points than the Carrick Corsairs

It is a blow, but we shall beat Albion when we meet again in a few weeks.

I wouldn't say it's going Pete Wong at all, compared to last season we've made a huge improvement.

Tell me, who do you support Fancyatory? The Cameron Creepers?
