No, the place didn't need cleaning up - there was nothing to clean up.

The issue had been running for years before Candy jumped on the bandwagon.

Anyone with a slight knowledge of Cornwall, and a bit of common sense, would know that Cornwall is littered with arsenic dumps that has nothing to do with MOD weapons.

The story proved Candy's ignorance of Cornwall industrial history.

Candy Atherton was despised and she lost her Falmouth and Camborne disappearing from the political map of Cornwall.

I don't think she will be missed.

Candy Atherton didn't represent the people here in Cornwall because she voted to go to war in Iraq when she knew by a WMN telephone poll that 96 per cent of the people she represented didn't agree with her. Strangely she voted to ban fox hunting when most other anti hunt MPs did not support the Iraq war.

A farmer today told me that she is going to get £250,000 in compensation for losing her seat. Why should this ***** get £250,000 I ask when many farmers are struggling to survive?
