All hunt supporters are angered by Ms Atherton's prominent role in banning our beloved pursuit and have pledged to help the opposition, so those visiting Cabinet Ministers will be given a rough ride.

Last election day posters materialised near poling stations saying stick with Candy Atherton sufficient people did and we have been stuck with her.

Candy Atherton and her party has presided over the decimation of farming and there is a crisis in the dairy sector where small family farms are at risk.

BTW it has taken eight years to sort out Goss Moor just in time for the election.

Yes give here grief but for

1/. Supporting the war which seemed odd given her CND days

2/. Voting for variable tuition fees after standing on a manifesto that said she wouldn't

3/. Being a total Yes person to Bliar. She is so independent that Blair might as well wave a card vote from her - waste of time her being there.

Falmouth camborne needs an MP with a modicum of independence. To be fair though he was a tory David Mudd thought for himself.

The only hope for falmouth Camborne this time is the rather capable Lib Dem candidate.

Certainly Atherton must go -even if I tend to agree with her on hunting.

Candy Atherton has supported Labour’s introduction of the national minimum wage, a godsend for many people in Cornwall and rising year on year. Tories opposed this, Liberal Democrats wavered.

She has supported the tax credits which have increased pay for families. Many people in Cornwall have benefited.

She has supported the large rises for the poorest pensioners which have benefited many in Cornwall.

She has supported Sure Start which has helped young families. Many of them in Cornwall have benefited.

She has supported the development of a stable and prosperous economy which means it has been possible to put vast sums into improving the health service and schools: still not enough money and improvement but very much better than before 1997. Still can’t park easily at Treliske though.

She has supported the policies which have given us the exceptionally low interest rates and low mortgage rates which help large numbers of people in Cornwall.

She has supported the economic policies which have given us low unemployment, including in Cornwall.

Candy Atherton supports plans from a chancellor of proven expertise to improve our public services even more.

Are you thinking what I’m thinking? A damn good record.

Don't forget that Labour completely ignored the petition for the Cornish Assembly, failed to promote the Cornish language and said that "Cornish cultural bids are deemed not acceptable for funding". They have failed to increase funding for Cornish schools to South-East England levels and Cornish water rates are twice those of London. Oh, and they started an unneccessary unprovoked war amongst other things ! The Tories are even worse - I say vote MK or LibDem if you don't mind putting up with Doris Ansari !!

Remember the 1997 Labour promise of a referendum on poprotional representations. Yet another of Blair's lies - followed by silence from the puppet for Falmouth Camborne.

Dwy Genes I agree with you re the choice. In Devon it is Lib Dem or Green (of course Greens are supporting MK in Cornwall.

Right, this has been bugging me all day.

'Decimated' means reduce size by 10 percent. Not reduce by 90%

OK?

Thank you.

In the 2001 election in Falmouth-and-Camborne 18 532 people voted for Candy Atherton. That's eighteen thousand etc. How many voted for MK in that constituency? 853. That's eight hundred etc.

In the whole of Cornwall out of more than 252 000 votes MK got 3 199. That's three thousand etc.

MK, the party of the few not the many. That's the very few.

Why is it acceptable to lie to Cornish people over a referendum on proportional representation?

It was a bare faced lie by Blaair and Atherton the stooge let him get away with it.

It's time for honest government and neither Labour or Tories have a clue what that means.

That's a vast illogical leap.

MK, like every one, should certainly have its say. In the 2001 general election it got one point three percent of actual votes cast in Cornwall, a decisive rejection by people here.

MK is presenting its case. Let us see how many vote for it on 5 May.

I was in fact referring to "the very few" as you disparagingly refer to those who chose to vote for MK, abednego. Given the rather large disparity in resources between "new" Labour & parties such as MK, it's hardly surprising that a population spoon-fed on soaps & tabloids will listen to whatever they're told by the party faithful.

MK tend to do better in local elections and do not have the massive campaign funding of the 3 main parties, who promise anything to get in then don't deliver. In a General Election there tends to be a lot of tactical voting to try and stop whoever you don't like getting in. Hopefully by the 5th of May Kernow will be a Labour/Tory free zone, as the two main parties have shown they have no interest in Cornwall.

Actually, Candy Athelstan was the one who tried to pretend that the petition was in favour of devolution generally, not specifically a Cornish Assembly, so on Planet Labour, the petition was actually supporting their South West assembly.
