Saw a car today with a red rose, letters ENG and a st georges flag on the side of the numberplate.

And along the bottom of the plate "If you can read this your to close".

Made me smile, owner is proud to be English but CBA to ensure the English language is spelt right.

Proud to be Cornish !

That is kind of funny... but still if I had made the same observation about a Cornish sign, I would be accused of racism and goodness-knows-what.

It was meant to be an ironic, in that someone who is proud of what they are (nothing wrong with that) can't be bothered to spell their own language properly.

Yeah, I understand that... But there's also the underlying implication that this is what English people, in general, are like (there's a "let's have a laugh at the English" element).

Anyway, it's no big deal, I just thought I'd mention it.
