AN APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE BY AN KESUNYANS KELTEK -SCOREN KERNEWEK (THE CORNISH BRANCH OF THE INTERNATIONAL CELTIC LEAGUE

At a packed Cornish Branch Meeting in Redruth on Tuesday 9th July and against a full agenda many issues were discussed. A higher than usual numbers of members were in attendance, some members of MK, some Stannators, some Liberal party members and even members of the Labour party, some Councillors and some with no political affiliations.
As a result of discussions, the following public appeals are made:

a. we invite anyone interested in becoming members of a new housing and social action group based on Wales’ ‘Cymuned’ possibly to be named: ‘Kemmynieth Kernewek’ kindly contact the League as below. The Branch has already been in contact with Cymuned in Kembra and an exploratory visit to view their work is to occur.

b. please would Joanie Willet please contact Jack Bolitho via the contacts Email outlined below for an informal discussion. Your Email will be passed on to Jack and his given to you

c. the League has been working with ITV Wales who are making a documentary on the ‘Cornish’ crisis. The ITV are looking for general background ‘film filler’ material of graffiti – protest, An Gof, CNLA, whatever. Our local authorities appear to have been very diligent and cleaned most of it away. Does anyone know of the location of any that can be filmed or photographed please ?

d. we are all extremely busy at the moment but there is one further enquiry.
It has become apparent that the Eden Project may not be all that it seems
and there have been allegations that Armaments Dealers sit on the board of
trustees and that a folk band who are called ‘Show of Hands’ who may have connections with fascist groups have been invited to play at Eden against a
backdrop of neo fascist (and English) symbols. Team Kernow has researched some of this material but it needs a volunteer to pull it together into an article which should be evidenced. Are there any aspiring journalists/writers able to do this
either under a real or assumed name and to Email us that article for publication in Carn Magazine. We can offer only the satisfaction of the truth being printed.

e. caution has been drawn to a newspaper type publication entitled ‘The
Falmouth Independent’ which has been circulating. This is a blatant right wing
Newspaper and makes many unfounded accusations against the EU, and other
Organisations with fearful threats.
