I expect that everyone has heard the news by now - how the police spend over a year and several millions of our money to carry out a high visibility investigation to simply produce a total whitewash that allows the corrupt powerful in London to get away with it scot-free yet again. Shades of Hutton, de Menezes, etc.,etc., methinks.

Oh yes. We all have loads more faith in the establishment now.

So nice to see that wealthy hooligan criminals can get off without so much as a slap on the wrist. And wonderful that at the same time that they engage in criminality they have such solidarity with the law breakers from the lower orders. After all, can't have everyone on ASBO's thinking that they can get away with anything can we?

Gosh, being a true criminal is a fashionable activity (you might even get a peerage!). If everyone was at it it wouldn't be so elite.

It annoys me intensely when these rich cheats get away with tax dodges, owing millions that then get written off so that we, the great have-nots, end up subsidising their wealth and comfort.

And yet the taxman will chase you and me from pillar to post over a few hundred quid!

Of course there was only ever to be one outcome. Its been a total waste of time. The powers that be in this nation do as they want when they want , and these kangaroo courst set up to bring them to justice are toothless and impotent and are nothing more than an excercise in futility.
THE WHOLE of Great Britain knows that Blair was paid to dish out the titles , Blair knows that we all know the trouble is you have to prove that and whose going to put there ass on the line and bring down the Prime minister and the establishment. When you consider how apathetic and ineffective the police are in general would they be any different in a case like this. No i think not! watch this space for who gets a lordship in the coming honors list me thinks somebody linked to this investigation?.

Actually I don't think it was the police on this occasion. They investigate, collect the evidence and if they feel they have a good case they hand it over to the CPS for further action. It was the CPS who decided there was no charges to be brought. They were probably leaned on very heavily by their employers, the Govt.

Coady would know how the system works so if I'm wrong I'm sure he will enlighten us.

I dont consider myself paranoid, and my knowledge of Westminster inside comes from 'spooks', but it does feel rather as if the CPS knew on which side thier bread was buttered.
