Christ, Strop, for proof that Jug Ears is Cornwall's sovereign, not Liz, read the Duchy v Crown case of 1855-59. Why else, if you die intestate does he get your estate, not Liz? Why does he own the entire foreshore of Cornwall, not Liz? Why does any sturgeon caught in Cornish waters have to be offered to him, not Liz? And, why (Duchy Charters - try reading them) does any agent of the Crown have to obtain the permission of the Duke and of Cornwall's own legitimate parliament before they can even set foot on Cornish soil? The sources exist - the laws remain valid, not imagined.

One for Fulub - whatever did we do to Augustin and Osbert? Were they ever heard of again? To the best of my knowledge, not a single church in Cornwall is dedicated to these guys. Maybe my local served them a bad pint, they took to their beds and quietly expired. Or they ended up down one of our mine shafts.

Well, I've been away for a while....I assume from the above that it's considered that Stroppygob has returned under a new ID.

Good, he's brilliant at pricking the balloons of the pretentious, and challenging unproven assumptions.

It's good for debate, and good for the forum not to be dominated by one viewpoint.

It can only ever be 'dominated' by the subject matter that people post.

There seem to be members of this forum who log-in frequently and then post the ocassional comment that the forum is not to their liking.

Good on you Coady, I'm all but ready to leave this forum to the dominant parties. It would be nice to have an expat forum, then I would be able to speak without being insulted and abused all the time. icon_frown I miss Stroppy, he always debated well, but he was hounded off like many others.

Diane,

Why don't you use the BBC or This is Cornwall forums if you don't feel welcome here, its not like you don't have the choice. I am sure you would be more than welcome on TIC, unlike me.

I don't think Diane is up to speed on all that has gone on on the board (and other boards)with some male and indeed female posters, so she probably sees things in a different light than some of us.

I've been away for a while, So I'm probably not 'up to speed either'

I thought I was detecting some sensitivity, almost a seige mentality amongst some of the regulars.

Some of what I've read on hear today helps explain that....now I know I'll regret asking this, but "who started it?"

(pulls on tin hat)

Diane, all you seem to post these days is how the forum isn't to your liking. That's all you seem to post.

How interesting you are..

Fulub-le-Breton it's Diane, not Diana, I do use the TIC, but nothing much happens there, the BBC is usually closed when I look in. When I joined here, there was a variety of topics, but now no matter what anyone starts it's always gets taken over by the dominators. It used to be good on here but it's been taken over. I don't think I'm the only one who feels like this.

I've been on this board as long as you Mike, and I've seen it deteriate. Perhaps I'm not very interesting, in your view, but I'm very interesting to many other people. If this was all I had going on in my life, I would be worried. icon_eek
