Your right gay men, gay women & gay youth equality campaigners are NOT WELCOME at this Cornwall pride event.
It has turned into a platform of promotion for those organisations like the Cornwall police & Cornwall County Council which have traditionally & continue to abuse gay people in Cornwall.
Although gay equality campaigners are not welcome at the Cornwall pride? event, I have personally been invited to four real 'Gay' pride events next year.
Plus, Peter Midwood (the former 15yr old gay youth who lived homeless on the streets of Helston in 2005, abused & ignored by the Cornish authorities) have been invited as a guest to the 'City of Cornwall' Gay Pride event in Ontario, Canada next year.
Just Like Tony Leamon, the Cornish campaigner who recieved more support from Cornish & Celtic persons outside of Cornwall, so too do I enjoy support from informed gay persons outside of Cornwall.

Your video and website is shite, You are slagging off Helston a place you do not even live in, and Helston School, a school i went to (and was 'out' in).
And if you were in Flora Day in 2006, you should know it was one of the most violent flora days EVER and the police were streched to the limit with so many assaults etc
and, admitteldy, i have had little contact with Magnus Scott, but i found him a nice man and not homophobic at all.
Why was Peter expelled from helston school? for trauncy? Explain more?

a) Helston IS the nearest town to which I live.
b) I am familiar with quite a number of 'gay' former students of Helston school, ALL of whom have expressed experience of homophobia (including admission by yourself in a previous posting).
c) I was at Helston Flora 2006 and physically assaulted when protecting another with my body, an unconcious person who had been bottled over the head and who his assailants were trying to 'STAMP' on his head!
The assailant who assaulted me WAS eventually prosecuted, but the reluctance of the police to act on what was initially reported as a homophobic incident was JUST as abusive as the assault itself.
d) I do not care whether a copper is nice. I just want him/her to carry out their 'Duty' with honesty, integrity, impartiality & transparency of conduct (4x parts of the police code of conduct). I also do not expect a copper to make homophobic assumptions based on prejudicial sterotype 'gay hater' portrayals of gay persons lives & lifestyles, regretably also a common place negative experiences of Cornwall police attitudes & practises against gay persons.
Regretably, I have personal experience in the last four years of VERY LITTLE compliance with these police codes of conduct from the vast MAJORITY of Cornwall police officers encountered
e) 'If' you had watched one of the videos co-created by Peter Midwood himself:-
you would be aware that, his friends have given verbal statements as to the bruises he came to school with, the catalogue of stepfathers he lived with, the prior (ineffectual) involvement of Cornwall Social Services within the family dynamics.
It is not a gaint leap of intelect to work out if a child is suffering misery, emotional & alleged violent abuse at home & relentless bullying (some overtly homophobic) in the the school environment (confirmed by other students & some parents) you as a child, for self survival, are going to avoid that ABUSIVE environment, called HELSTON SCHOOL!
When abusers ARE the adults in authority like teachers, coppers & parents...they IGNORE the FACT he was living rough on the streets of Helston...as A CHILD!!!who does a child turn too???
Then he gets further ABUSE from people like 'YOU' because he 'dare' to tell his experience of how it is
...The fact of his experience that it is GROSSLY HOMOPHOBIC within the autrhorities of Cornwall.
f) ...and finally you celebrate that myself (and other LGBT) equality campaigners (some of whom were active before you were born)...are NOT WELCOME at a 'psuedo' pride event at which gay men, gay women & gay youth camaigners are not welcome, but the Chief Constable of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, a police force I KNOW by experience harbours deeply homophobic attitudes & practises protected within its rank.(a Chief Constable who has himself previously accussed of racisim by one of his own senior commanders)
