From the above wilfully misleading territorial terminology it would seem that this not-but-maybe-gay parade is yet another disorientational Anglo-Imperialist-Kernowassimilist attempt at marginalisation of the ethnic Cornish within their own COUNTRY, pinkpasty.
Pink One, from what you say it appears that the police in cornwall are particularly homophobic, this is sad and unacceptable. Do you feel that this is a reflection of cornish society or are cornish police particularly indoctrinated against LGBT (or perhaps more repressed)?
I find it really offensive that the police in Cornwall are planning to fly the Rainbow flag whilst the catalogue of abuses carried out by Cornwall police officers remain un-investigated & swept under the carpet.
It is my experience it is a reflection of institutions across Cornwall, not just the police, the entire Criminal Justice Service & Cornwall County Council.
Eg. I remember when a certain highly placed existing Cornwall County Councilor critised as "a complete waste of money, which could be better spent elsewhere" when Cornwall LGBT campaigners finally forced the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Health Authority to increase from £3,000/yr to £50,000/yr on HIV/AIDS preventiion for gay/bi men in Cornwall.
Bareing in mind there was a ringfenced protected anual budget in Cornwall of almost £600,000/year SPECIFICALLY for HIV/AIDS control, care treatment. Ring fenced! (can't be spent on anything else, but clearly was?).
At that time the legally required Cornwall AIDS Control Act document acknowledged that 70% of the (then) known cases of HIV/AIDS in Cornwall were amongst men who had sex with men.
So imagine
(1) 70% of your known case file are amongst a particular specific target group
(2) You have an anual budget of £600,000/yr to tackle this particular problem
(3) ...and you are spending just £3,000/yr of that £600,000 budget to try to prevent that particular condition in the then primary at risk group.
Some might call that almost a genocidal attitude towards the primary at risk group. I did and caused a stir.
I can give similar sorts of examples of blatant discriminatary attitudes towards LGBT persons across an entire range of statutary services in Cornwall...IN PARTICULAR those run by the HOMOPHOBES at County Hall, in particular within the laughable "Equality & Diversity" comittee which specifically EXCLUDES lgbt persons who do not cowl down & tow the line.
Such is the level of corrupt attitudes that protests DIRECTLY to the Chief Exec. at County Hall, County Council Chair & individual councilors...unfortunately gay people JUST DO NOT MATTER in Cornwall!
