I am seeking family members of Roberts/ Dixon family who were originally from Cornwall.
My great grandfather was James Dixon (b.3/12/1864). His father was George Dixon from St Feock. James Dixon was a blacksmith/journeyman.
My great grandfather was Edith Roberts (b.20/8/1867). Her father was John Roberts from Penzance.
James went to Chile to work in a silver mine and married Edith there on 16/9/1897. They lived in Chile for 10 years. James also had a cousin in Chile called Norma.
James and Edith returned to Cornwall and had 4 children, Nora Kathleen (b.16/8/1906), Doreen Elana (b.11/5/1908), Oscar James (b.11/4/1910) and Marion Patricia (b.16/12/1912).
James, Edith and their children all came to Australia. They lived first in Billabong before settling in Wagga Wagga.
Edith had a 3 sisters called Pollyanna, Lydia and Kate (who died during childbirth) and 3 brothers called John, Frank and Thomas.
James had 3 sisters called Kate, Edith and Alice and 2 brothers called Harry and Thomas
My Grandmother, Doreen Dixon’s birth was registered in the district of Truro and Sub District of Kea. The family possibly lived in Little Fregew.

I am Alan Jones from Chester and have been down to Feock yesterday to investigate my family connections. Have found the Black Smiths Shop at Trevilla and taken a few photos which I could pass on. I have also got other information about the Dixon family which I will send on to you.
My great grand Father was Thomas Dixon Blacksmith birthdate 1845. and his wife was Ellen Dixon (34 in 1881) maiden name Hitchens
