Wel it's a new site cos the Podbean was free and before long I would need to start paying for more disk space and bandwidth. Ben Bruch's building this one. It also means we can put RanG and NanS together on the same site.
Potgast is a word Ben seems to have come up with suddenly. No worries about having several words for things. I have joked to Ben that Potgast sounds like pot-*****!!! I'm sticking with kodhethlians myself... but ny vern.
Tell everyone you know about this online radio in Cornish as it takes up a lot of my time each week doing it... and I'll only continue doing it if as many Cornish speakers and learners use it.
I have downloaded all three so far and have them on my mp3 player so I can listen to them at work. I think this is one of the best things to happen in a number of years. Well done Matthew. I hope that a few other People can get involved and make this into something great for the Language. For me it is a brilliant tool to get my 'ear in' and I would encourage others to do the same.
Is there any way that a Poster can be made available as a Advert for the Site. I for one would downlaod it and Post it where I can. There are a few People at my Place of Work who I would give it to so that they can take advantage.
Once again Matthew, well done, and keep up the good work. I suggest that you find helpers and maybe soon Radyo An Gernewegva can be expanded. What about other Podcasts such as Audio Books and Poetry. Anyone else got any ideas. What other support is needed Matthew?
Support: I need all Cornish musicians to be understanding and allow me to use there music free of charge. I need content. I would like some Cornish speakers to record a series of short plays lasting about three minutes each as a series. A mini soap. That would be a good start. I need news, views etc. I also thought it would be good for some one to write and record a series of short three minute features on different Cornish people through history. Any takers???
Matthi, i will try my best to come up with something and show you tomorrow.
It would be along the lines of a story.
I am also writing an article for AnGannas, and maybe we could do something with that (like make it an audio course.
Yeah, when i launch my kodhedhlians, i will promote and reccommend your product, i also am going to try to push for there to be an advert in all School newsletters (or as many as i can) in Cornwall, so i may include something about that at the same time such as
Once you have done this course, listen to Radyo an Gernewegva at (website) for music and stories in the language.
Ben and I are going to merge our old podcast Radyo an Norvys with the new site. We made some recordings of literary texts which we are going to upload over the next few weeks.
We also hope to be able to get some Cornish dubbed films ready for download before this summer... now we just have to find a little more time for all of this.
The Cornish Film Festival has a series of 4 short films in Cornish that might need an audience, they would be worth dropping a line to to see if the film makers would be willing to have them shown.
