I've never been able to understand the mind set of people who have a serious go a Oliver and Stien.

Both these guys are top celeb chefs and have brought a lot into Cornwall. I know Oliver can be a bit annoying sometimes but he is still a top bloke and has a charity restuarant in Cornwall for the benefit of locals.

On the subject of housing looks like prices are coming down, it just goes to show they didn't command high prices in Cornwall.

Quite often I think celebs help Cornwall. Plus there were those who were anti Eden Project. That brings in millions to Cornwall alone.

Because it encourages inter regional part time Londoners to live there, who don't give a damn about enhancing or regenerating Cornish culture.

If these part timers added something, then it would be great!

Does Stein or Oliver proclaim there cuisine to be Cornish? No.

So the're just adding to the idea that Kernow is in England.

KERNOW DOES'NT BOW TO LONDON

Oliver and Stien are not, in themselves, a problem as such. They are merely symptoms of the "disease" that effects Cornwall. It is the "disease" that needs to be addressed, needs to be cured, not individuals. If you attack such individuals, you are just treating the symptoms, and the "disease" continues, even gets worse, and could be fatal.

If you believe that all is lost, keep attacking the symptoms. If you believe that it is not, then attack the "disease".

You attack and cure such "diseases" with education. One of the purposes of the Rally for Recognition is to educate people of the problems we face.

Kernow Kensa!

Jamie Oliver has taken advantage of an entrepreneurial opportunity to cash in on the phenomena of "Cool Kernow" . If by employing local people on minimum wage is your idea of them doing there bit for Cornwall then i feel sorry for you an would suggest you set your standards a little higher. The one restraunt is a business not a charity and its an insult to anyones intelligence to think otherwise.
As for Rick Stein he has helped to promote Padstow in such a way that it has atrracted the rich middle class home counties types to buy up second homes or settle there marginalizing any of the locals and pricing them out of the housing market. And in the end the only person who has benefited is Mr Stein whose gotten fat and rich off of the backs of the people of Padstow.
