Is there scope for an alternative Gorseth? One to parallel the present one if the current one is irreformable? What would it be like?

No robes or ritual? No bishop/establishment figure members? All Cornish speakers? Who could head it up?

Most importantly, what would be its purpose? It seems that people think this is where the present one has gone wrong most of all...

Oh well, it was too hard a question to get a straight answer, and relevance to real cornish people, why even consider it?

I worked it out, the Gorsedh is to keep most of the senior members of MK busy so that they have an excuse not to do the dirty business of engaging with the electorate.

Where there's a Negative - there's always a Positive. You just have to find it.

I'm all for sexism in this case. Most men just can't do what she's doing (although perhaps there are some who can).

My commiserations to Graham especially as I'm older than him and have yet to experience this awful reverse. (Sagittarian, you see. Half-horse).

Doesn't Verity's avatar portray what is seen by some countries to be an obscene gesture (shades of Cosmo Smallpiece)?

I think I'd better take her down Craig. She's obviously stopping serious debate. icon_biggrin Still, we had a laugh. icon_lol

Lighten up Verity ! icon_smile

Anyway back to the real issue. The last thing I want to see is another Award thingy. Let's get recognition first then do the awards.......if you're into badges, which I'm not.

Have you made a pledge Verity ?

Having a Gorseth is something that regions of England do not have. Wales does, as does Britanny. When 'all the chips are down', it's another string to Cornwall's bow.
