I also encompassed the bids for Wales, Scotland and England into this petition to give it that extra boost.
Let people know. icon_cool

There's also this one, asking the government to examine the unique constitutional position of Cornwall.

How effective are petitions against this lot?

Thanks sincerely for promoting this petition. I feel it is imperative this constitutional research happens. It really is our only hope. We must join up down here and force the government to give us a system of governance that reflects the constitutional facts, not this sub-standard Unitary.

Thankyou FLB and Stargazey for supporting this.
The stinking attitude that 1 second is too long is disgusting and we should be doing every little bit to fight for Cornish issues.
the majority of petitions fall through but you can never tell which ones will make a difference.
Signing each and every one you beleive in will surely result in at least one of them coming to fruition.

From the first petitionthis is nothing to do with _any_ government. Internet is self-regulating

To Mr/Mrs Regulating,
The government may not deal directly with internet domain names but they can certainly have an influence.
They have large influences on other issues, big or small, to have nothing to do with the government.

Surly you should not be contacting the government - Microsoft controls the www. so you should contact them!

There is a mention of it here -

There are several proposed top-level domains which have not yet been approved by ICANN. Language and nationality - These proposals are centered on creating an independent internet identity for linguistic and cultural communities. They are mostly inspired by the success of the .cat domain created for websites in the Catalan language or about Catalan culture.

England hasn't got one, why should Cornwall?

.co.uk?

is there a .eng?

We should have "ck" for "Cornwall/Kernow" and then we could use .co.ck
